Greta Hoaken

Greta joined Paliare Roland as an associate after summering at the firm and completing her articles as a judicial law clerk for the Honourable Justice John B. Laskin of the Federal Court of Appeal.

At the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, Greta was involved in student life as a caseworker at Downtown Legal Services, as a research assistant, and as a competitor in the Wilson Moot. In recognition of her academic performance, she received course prizes for standing first in labour and employment, family, and income tax law. She was also recognized with the Class of 1967 Prize for standing third in third year and the John Atkinson Prize for achievement in litigation courses.

Before law school, Greta earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts from McGill University (where she received the Scarlet Key Award) and a MSc Comparative Social Policy (with Distinction) from the University of Oxford. She also worked as a management consultant for a global firm.
