Braxton Murphy joined Paliare Roland as an associate after working as a summer student and an articling student at the firm. Braxton has a growing civil litigation practice with a focus on professional regulation, labour and employment, commercial litigation, and defamation law.
Prior to joining the firm, Braxton conducted research in mental health law and worked in the civil litigation department of a prominent mental health hospital. As a law student at the University of Toronto, Braxton received awards for his advocacy in a labour arbitration competition and his writing on intersectional discrimination. In 2022, he earned his JD with distinction.

- Cycle Toronto et al. v. Attorney General of Ontario et al.: Successfully acted for cycling Advocacy group Cycle Toronto and two individual applicants by preventing the Ontario government from removing the protected bike lanes on Bloor St, University Ave and Yonge St. The court found that doing so infringes s.7 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (final relief: 2025 ONSC 4397; interim injunction granted: 2025 ONSC 2424; interim injunction initially denied 2025 ONSC 1650.
