Michael  Fenrick B.A., M.A., LL.B

Called to the bar in 2009

 

Michael Fenrick joined Paliare Roland Rosenberg Rothstein LLP as an associate in 2009 after clerking for the Honourable Justice Marshall Rothstein at the Supreme Court of Canada and spending a summer with the firm. His areas of practice include corporate/commercial litigation, administrative law, labour and employment law, professional discipline matters and civil litigation.

Michael obtained his LL.B. from Dalhousie University where he received numerous academic prizes, including the Gold Medal. He also received course prizes in Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Labour Law and Business Associations, among others. While at Dalhousie, Michael received prizes for oral and written advocacy at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot, was a Smith Shield Mooter, and participated in the Mathews, Dinsdale & Clark Labour Arbitration Moot. He also organized Dalhousie's chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada, an organization that places law students with non-profits to provide legal information and other assistance.

Before coming to law school Michael was a lay advocate with St. Paul's Advocacy Office in Vancouver, where he represented people from marginalized communities before administrative tribunals.
