Honourary Counsel

Stephen Goudge Q.C.

The Honourable Stephen T. Goudge joined the firm as counsel after serving as Justice on the Court of Appeal for Ontario for 18 years. Since then, he may be best known for his work as Commissioner for the Public Inquiry into Pediatric Forensic Pathology, colloquially known as the Goudge Inquiry, which resulted in sweeping legislative changes. He has now retired from the practice of law.

 

A member of the Order of Ontario, Stephen is the recipient of honorary doctorates from the Law Society of Upper Canada and Assumption University, as well as the Law Foundation of Ontario’s Guthrie Award, in recognition of his exceptional work improving access to justice.
