Paliare Roland Recognized for Litigation Leadership at the 2026 Benchmark Litigation Canada Awards

We are pleased to share that the firm and its lawyers were celebrated for their outstanding client work and advocacy excellence by Benchmark Litigation Canada at their annual awards ceremony on May 7 in Toronto.  

Paliare Roland’s involvement in Quadrangle et al. v. Attorney General of Canada, 2025 ONSC 4526 has been recognized with an Impact Case Award. Quadrangle was a complex commercial matter arising from events occurring 20 years ago, and resulted in an award against the Government of Canada in the amount of approximately $555 million plus pre-judgment interest and costs following a 7-week trial. Paliare Roland represented one of the co-plaintiffs, Obelysk Media Inc., with a team consisting of Ken Rosenberg, Kris Borg-Olivier, Danielle Glatt, Douglas Montgomery, and Dillon Gohil. Paliare Roland was proud to work closely with a team from Lax O’Sullivan Lisus Gottlieb LLP.

The firm was also named Labour & Employment Firm of the Year in recognition of the exceptional advocacy, client service and industry influence of our labour and employment practitioners.

The 2026 ceremony also included the presentation of a Hall of Fame Award to Linda R. Rothstein, long-recognized as one of Canada’s most accomplished litigators and advocates. This Award is bestowed by the editors at Benchmark Litigation to select counsel with a long, illustrious career with considerable achievements who have earned unanimous market recognition and praise.
