Odette has acted as counsel to corporations, politicians (at the federal, provincial and municipal level, as well as internationally), a federal political party, lawyers, athletes, authors, police officers, and others in both the public and private sectors, as well as not-for-profit organizations, charities, religious institutions, educational institutions and others.
In her media and defamation practice, Odette acts for plaintiffs and defendants, and in advisory capacity concerning media-related issues.
As part of the firm’s class action team, Odette acts as class counsel and as counsel to Defendants in all aspects of class proceedings.
In professional discipline proceedings, Odette has acted both for individuals facing prosecution though their regulatory bodies as well as part of the prosecution team. She also acts as independent legal counsel to a discipline committee in the regulated health professional colleges.
