Alysha Shore is a practical, solution driven litigator with a wide range of advocacy skills. As a trusted advisor to her clients, Alysha understands that interpersonal dynamics play a significant (but often neglected) role in resolving legal disputes. Her practice spans civil and commercial litigation, administrative/public law and employment. Alysha has significant trial and hearing experience before all levels of court in Ontario and numerous administrative bodies.

 

Alysha is Chair of the firm’s Student Program. She sits on the Executive of the Ontario Bar Association Administration Law Section. Alysha is an active volunteer with Pro Bono Ontario’s Free Legal Advice Hotline.

Representative Work

  • Represents individuals and businesses in all areas of commercial, employment, civil and administrative litigation.

  • In the commercial litigation context, Alysha acts for businesses in shareholder disputes, oppression actions, breach of contract claims and investor negligence. Her clients range from small local businesses to large multi-national corporations.

  • In the employment law context, Alysha frequently provides advice to employees and employers with respect to contract negotiations, termination of employment, human rights and workplace investigations.

  • In the administrative law context, Alysha acts as prosecution counsel before the discipline committees of various professions and on appeals or judicial reviews. She also defends professionals before their regulators and the civil courts.

Community Involvement

  • Regularly volunteers as duty counsel for Pro Bono Law Ontario’s Law Help Clinic at the Superior Court of Justice and has often been retained by clients from the clinic on a pro bono basis.
