Danielle considers cases strategically and thoughtfully when advocating for her clients. She has particular expertise in commercial list proceedings, along with her already extensive appellate court experience. Her clients appreciate her forceful yet professional take-charge approach.
Danielle maintains a broad litigation practice including commercial disputes, civil fraud, defamation, class actions, insurance litigation and insolvency. Danielle also has a particular interest in public and constitutional law. Danielle has experience both prosecuting and defending claims in the first instance and at the appellate level. Danielle’s appellate experience covers a wide range of civil and constitutional matters at all levels of appeal. She has also appeared as amicus at the Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal and has intervened at the Supreme Court of Canada.
Danielle represents multinational corporations, public and private companies, financial institutions, professionals, governments, non-governmental agencies, and regulators. Danielle has appeared before all levels of court in Canada, as well as various administrative boards and tribunals.
Prior to joining Paliare Roland, Danielle was an associate at a prominent litigation boutique in Toronto. At the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, Danielle was active in the students’ law society and was awarded the Gorden Cressy award for student leadership at graduation. She has remained actively involved in the legal community by volunteering with Pro-Bono Law Ontario, providing pro bono assistance to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, assisting Downtown Legal Services with summary conviction appeals and lecturing on various topics including litigation strategy and motions.
