Renuka joined Paliare Roland as an associate after working at the Department of Justice practising civil and administrative litigation on behalf of the Attorney General of Canada. She has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, and various tribunals, and has assisted on matters before the Supreme Court of Canada.
Renuka has significant experience litigating a wide variety of civil and administrative proceedings including class actions, crown liability proceedings, constitutional challenges, and applications for judicial review related to telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, and financial transactions.
At the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, Renuka was a caseworker at Downtown Legal Services in the criminal law and university affairs divisions. She also participated in and won the Winkler Class Action Moot. Prior to joining law school, Renuka attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Public Policy.
