Glynnis enjoys acting for clients grappling with novel issues and complex disputes.

Glynnis has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Commercial List in Toronto, the Federal Court, and a number of administrative tribunals and arbitrators.

Glynnis routinely represents clients in a broad range of diverse practice areas. She acts as counsel on cases involving all manner of commercial law, including partnership and shareholder disputes, oppression claims, and contract claims. She regularly appears as prosecuting counsel before professional disciplinary tribunals. She has recently acted for the plaintiffs in a civil fraud claim, for the plaintiff in an intellectual property dispute over false and misleading statements made by a competitor, and for the plaintiff in a tort and product liability claim against an international helicopter manufacturer. Glynnis regularly acts in employment and labour disputes, including on behalf of senior executives respecting their contracts and termination of employment. Glynnis has also recently acted for a group of foreign investors in a receivership over a major real estate development in Toronto.

Glynnis has also acted on a number of public law judicial reviews and appeals and constitutional cases, including on behalf of the CCLA at the Divisional Court of Ontario, the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples at the Supreme Court of Canada, and on behalf of a proposed class of Mi’kmaq plaintiffs in the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia.

Glynnis regularly provides pro bono legal advice through the Pro Bono Ontario legal advice hotline, appears as pro bono duty counsel before the Superior Court, and acts as pro bono litigation counsel for individuals in consumer protection matters.

Glynnis joined Paliare Roland as an associate in 2017 after working as summer student and completing her articles at the firm.

Glynnis was the recipient of a number of awards during her time at Osgoode Hall Law School, including the Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP Prize in Business Associations, awarded to the student who obtains the highest standing in the subject of Business Associations, as well as the Dean’s Letter Recognizing Cumulative Overall Excellence, awarded to the top 10% of the Osgoode graduating class.
