John Monger is a partner at Paliare Roland Barristers. He has a diverse litigation practice, with primary focus areas being labour law, employment law, and administrative law. In addition to his active labour arbitration and mediation practice, he regularly represents clients before administrative tribunals and the Courts in matters involving professional governance, licensing and statutory compliance. He has expertise of general application to matters involving administrative tribunals, and judicial review of governmental and administrative action. He is an experienced prosecutor of professional and academic discipline cases. In addition, he has frequently represented professionals and others in defense of cases brought against them under statutory disciplinary regimes. Mr. Monger represents both employees and employers in relation to resolving issues arising at all stages of the employment relationship.
Mr. Monger was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1991. He received his law degree from the University of Toronto, and his undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers and is a regular instructor at conferences and seminars on issues associated with his core practice areas and advocacy more generally. |
