Tina Lie
Tina Lie is a problem solver. Her counsel is sought after by both clients and colleagues in the most complex and challenging cases. She assists her clients in finding effective and practical solutions in a wide range of matters. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, employment law, and administrative law. She also has experience with high-profile public inquiries and independent reviews.
Tina has represented clients at various administrative tribunals and at all levels of court in Ontario, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. She worked as staff lawyer on the Inquiry into Pediatric Forensic Pathology in Ontario, and served as counsel to the Motherisk Hair Analysis Independent Review.
Tina has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada, Benchmark Litigation and Lexpert, winning a Zenith Award in 2019. She is a proud co-founder of GROWL (Group of Racialized Ontario Women Litigators) and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee and is Chair of the firm’s Inclusion Committee.

Regularly advises individuals who have been terminated from their employment, as well as employers in non-unionized workplaces.

Regularly acts for universities in student conduct, discipline, and sexual violence matters.

Serves as Assistant Discipline Counsel to the University of Toronto in the prosecution of academic offences before the University’s internal tribunal.
